Distribution & Logistics Supervisor
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Distribution & Logistics Supervisor for the Monroe, NJ distribution center. This position is responsible for managing all or specific functions within the warehouse, including core operations, shipping, receiving, delivery scheduling, and returns. The role ensures that procedural and daily, weekly, and monthly inspection processes are in place to maintain a high level of productivity. On a daily basis, the position must ensure that all orders and returns are reviewed and processed accurately and escalate any issues with promptly scheduling activity to Sales for support. Support of Logistics projects. Responsibility may include the day-to-day support of Logistics operations in multiple locations. This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s) / worksite(s) / territory.
- Accountable for directing all or specific activities in the warehouse to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient operations including shipping of sales orders, receiving of inventory, and returns processing - Stay current on all orders / transfers - Responsible for hiring, training, developing, and motivating staff; scheduling, delegating work assignments; monitoring individual and group performance to ensure a high level of productivity; and for reviewing all distribution processes and procedures in order to continuously improve efficiency - Provides prompt assistance to Order Management, Sales personnel, and customers in the resolution of shipping questions or issues - Maintains positive, partner relationships with all carriers, including assisting with selection and price negotiations for new vendors; resolves shipping problems, initiates tracers, and files claims when necessary - Determines effective layout and utilization of warehouse space for efficient operations - Coordination with service shop for pre-installation of new machines and inspection and repair of used machines - Damaged and defective inspection and claims management - Safeguarding of inventories, facility, and staff - Supervisory oversight, and support of Area Market Warehouse Operations as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - Minimum 7 years related experience in Office Technology industry - Strong communication skills with desire to develop and lead team - Ability to Travel as required - Excellent PC / Systems skills - Ability to work long hours, OT including Holidays and weekend work
We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role : $61,800 - $92,520 annually
