Job description

BCT is in search of a Senior Command Center Engineer to play a key role in launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art Command Center in Plano. This is a hands-on, high-impact position responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure that keeps global operations running 24 / 7. We're looking for a seasoned engineer with strong technical depth, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

  • Base Salary : $125K $150K + 15% Bonus
  • Shift : 12-hour day shifts (approx. 7a 7p / 7p 7a), 2-2-3 rotation with alternating weekends

    • ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Support, monitor, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, and data centers)
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues; act as an escalation point for junior team members

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily system and network monitoring, performance tuning, and incident management
  • Maintain infrastructure security (firewalls, VPNs, patching, DR)
  • Perform root cause analysis and detailed documentation
  • Mentor Command Center staff and collaborate with leadership and vendors
  • Stay current on technologies and industry best practices

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • 9+ years of IT infrastructure experience (Command Center or NOC preferred)
  • Strong expertise : Windows Server (2016 2022), AD, Linux (RHEL / CentOS), virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
  • Networking : Cisco / Juniper / F5, TCP / IP, BGP, VPNs, VLANs
  • Cloud familiarity (AWS / Azure) and storage (SAN / NAS)
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) and monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios)
  • Relevant Certifications (MCSE, RHCE, CCNP, etc.) preferred
  • Must be flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays
