Overview
Principal Scientist, Translational Research — San Francisco Bay Area. We are seeking a business-minded scientist to drive biology and translational research activities for a clinical-stage biotech program focused on advancing therapies for rare genetic diseases. This individual will lead efforts in assay development, preclinical pharmacology, dose selection, and biomarker strategy while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners across discovery, development, and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee translational and pharmacology studies supporting mechanism, biology, and dose guidance.
- Manage external research partners and CROs to ensure high-quality, timely study execution.
- Collaborate across preclinical, DMPK, toxicology, clinical, and regulatory functions to advance therapeutic programs.
- Contribute to scientific strategy, data interpretation, and IND-supporting documentation.
- Present scientific findings internally and externally.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology,Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related, with 6+ years of relevant industry experienceM.S. in Molecular Biology,Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related, with 10+ years of relevant industry experienceStrong background in translational biology and preclinical research.Proven ability to manage cross-functional collaborations and external partners.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Strategic thinker with hands-on scientific expertise and a collaborative mindset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
