Facility Overview
Surgery Department performs a broad spectrum of procedures, including endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon & rectal (open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary surgeries.
Responsibilities
Surgical Assistant Duties :
Position patients and provide optimal visualization of the operative site
Assist with hemostasis and closure of body planes using appropriate techniques
Participate in volume replacement or autotransfusion as needed
Select and apply appropriate wound dressings
Secure drainage systems to tissue
Operate laser equipment after orientation and successful post-test, if assigned
Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adapt quickly in stressful situations
Required Qualifications
2+ years CURRENT CST First Assist experience
NBSTSA CSFA certification (NCCT or other certifications NOT accepted)
Temporary NH Med Tech license required
BLS (AHA) certification
Previous travel experience preferred
