Job description

OVERVIEW

Cache County Sheriff's Office is looking for an Emergency Manager Assistant to join the Cache County Sheriff's Department. The Emergency Manager Assistant works under the general supervision of the Cache County Emergency Manager and is a part-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Emergency Manager in the development of the County's Emergency Management Program and assists in coordinating County Emergency Management functions; develops, implements, and delivers emergency preparedness educational programs; assists in maintaining the County's Emergency Operations Center in a state of readiness; assists in emergency preparedness training, exercises, and drills; works with city, county, and state Emergency Managers for plan and response coordination; and performs other directly related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Emergency Management, Disaster Mitigation, Communications, Criminal Justice, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in Emergency Management or Public Safety.
