Art Design Instructor-Adjunct-Part-Time role at Inside Higher Ed.

Location : Porterville, CA. Department : Fine and Applied Arts. Salary : $66.00 hourly.

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. When there is a need, qualified applicants may be contacted by the respective department supervisors, deans and / or division chairs. Applications submitted remain active for up to two years.

Minimum Qualifications

Master\'s in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor\'s in any of the above AND Master\'s in humanities. OR the equivalent. Candidates may request an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCY. Note : Degrees must be from accredited institutions. Foreign degrees must be evaluated by an approved evaluation service. Must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds as required by California Community Colleges standards.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain subject matter currency.
• Ability to assess student learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies that benefit the program.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the California community college mission.
