We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician for our client, a food manufacturing company committed to safety, compliance, and excellence.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician will uphold the SQF Food Safety & Quality Systems Programs during both production and non-production hours. This role ensures strict compliance with GMP standards, quality control processes, and food safety protocols. The technician will work closely with supervisors across production, packaging, warehouse, and sanitation to monitor, verify, and document adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and calibrate metal detectors, conduct hourly verifications, and report deviations.
  • Manage Quality Control Points (QCPs) and GMP adherence.
  • Monitor refrigeration and freezer temperatures.
  • Conduct product evaluations with supervisors across shifts.
  • Verify compliance with oven, packaging, and lot number checks in Safety Chain.
  • Perform operational walk-throughs of production areas (warehouse, shipping, freezer, staging, etc.).
  • Oversee sanitation compliance, PPE usage, and allergen changeover verification.
  • Conduct audits, environmental testing, and allergen tests as required.
  • Document non-conformities, update SQF logs, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Coach, train, and mentor quality systems technicians and operators.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Strong integrity and adherence to compliance.
  • Effective verbal communication in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to coach, train, and develop team members.
  • Prior food manufacturing, quality, or SQF systems experience strongly preferred.
  • FULL-TIME / PART-TIME : Full-Time

    SALARY : $19 - $22 per hour

    SHIFT : First Shift

    AVAILABILITY : Open Availability

    NUMBER OF OPENINGS : 1

    ENVIORMENT : Extreme temperatures (hot / cold), food handling
