We are looking for a reliable, self-assured Marine Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on various watercraft(s) at our location on Lake Vermilion. YBC provides a fun and safe environment! A Marine Technician specializes in repairing and maintaining boats. Among their responsibilities include addressing the clients' issues and concerns, troubleshooting problems, inspecting and fixing electrical and mechanical equipment, installing new systems, and assessing existing ones to identify areas needing improvement, conducting upgrades as required. Furthermore, as a marine technician, it is essential to maintain an active communication line with team members while adhering to the safety policies and regulations.

To be successful as a Marine Technician, you should have excellent attention to detail and strong self-discipline. An outstanding Marine Technician demonstrates great hand-eye coordination and should be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• This is a full-time, seasonal position, which typically runs through late November.

Working in a shop environment can be physically demanding as it often involves standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects, and working with machinery. The environment can also be noisy and require the use of personal protective equipment. However, it can also be a rewarding career for those who enjoy working with their hands and seeing the tangible results of their work. Proper safety measures and training are essential to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment.

Compensation :

The salary range for this position is $16 to $30 per hour, with compensation varying based on skills and experience.

Our journey started in 2009 with only five boats by owners Luke Kujawa and Michael Jellish. Today, we boast over 40 locations across four states. Our services include memberships, daily rentals, full marina services, and, at some locations, bike, UTV, and snowmobile rentals. Our main objective is to keep our existing members happy by providing them with exceptional service, superb boats, and great availability. Annually, we hire seasonal help at various locations and seek to hire individuals who we believe will be “A” type employees : always friendly, professional, adaptable, and possess great customer service skills.
