What should you expect working as a Caregiver Support Staff?
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Has the ability to solicit, process, and integrate input from team members and administrators
- Recognizes areas of conflict or disagreement and deals with them through open and honest dialogue.
- Contributes to a positive work environment by treating others with fairness and respect
- Demonstrates proficiency and / or willingness to learn the advanced use of practice management software, electronic medical records, Microsoft Office products, and ASANA
PROVIDE TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATIONS WITH CAREGIVERS AND COWORKERS
Greet caregivers in a friendly and timely mannerReceive incoming calls, provide available information, and route as neededEnsure caregiver information is recorded accurately and consistentlyAssist, coordinate and / or perform appointment scheduling between caregivers and medical staffAssist incoming patients based on urgency of care and available staff resourcesPerform clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, copying, faxing, linking, emailing, mailing & scanningPERFROM PROCESSING RELATED DUTIES
Process payments for invoices (transactions via cash, care credit, credit / debit cards, and checks)Utilize the clinic's practice management software to finalize invoices, process refunds, and accurately record all salesReconcile the cash drawer and all payment transactions (cash, checks, electronic payments) against the system's end-of-day reportCoordinate with the Medical Support Team to answer any caregiver questionsPROVIDE IMMEDATE SUPPORT TO ALL DEPARTMENTS
Understand hospital logistics to maintain efficiency and reduce costsBe a resource for inventory control, to aid in loss preventionEnsure front lobby remains clean throughout shiftENGAGE PAW'S COLLABORATIVE PROCESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
Integrate into the The Collaborative ProcessAttend regular Collaborative Meetings with members of the Collaborative & Supporting Role TeamsTrack progress through Core Training, and track issues and accomplishments as they ariseProvide feedback on guidelines, processes and policies with intent to improve efficiency and effectivenessAttend departmental or All-Staff meetingsQualifications
What are we looking for?
Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferredCompassionate and calm team playerStrong communication skillsAbility to multi-taskHighly organized and possess computer skillsSelf-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.Schedule Requirements
Full-Time or Part-Time10am-7pm / 12 : 00pm-9 : 00pm shiftsEvery other weekend coverageUp to 4 Holiday Spans / Year4 DAY WORK WEEK!Additional Information
