Job description

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for all data requests submitted by annual giving, including mail / email solicitations, stewardship, and informational appeals.

Manage all aspects of the university's online giving platform, including but not limited to designing, building, and maintaining various pages for philanthropic giving and event registration.

Serves as the primary troubleshooter and relationship manager with third-party site vendor.

Manage the faculty & staff giving campaign, including but not limited to direct mail and email solicitations and stewardship, collaboration with University Advancement and university leadership on donor information, yearly management of relationship with the faculty and staff giving campaign co-champions and ambassadors.

Manage all aspects of the Maryland Charity Campaign which includes working with the Secretary of State's office on training, communications, and current employee data as well as working with third-party campaign administrators on data, donation information, and donor troubleshooting.

Collaborate with gift officers, as needed, on aspects of their work that includes annual giving such as college-based communications, college-specific communications, online giving, event registration and more.

Build and maintain annual giving communications calendar, tracking numbers of individuals receiving communications from annual giving or the Tiger Athletic Fund, and track open rates and activity on communications.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum of 2 years of professional customer relationship experience, including sales and new business acquisition skills.

Well organized, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate initiative.

Experience with donor database software.

Confidence in building relationships through electronic communication and engagement techniques.

Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year.

Must be team-oriented, creative, and able to exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must have experience with Microsoft Office products.

Ability to build client trust via in person, telephone, and electronic communications.
