Meeting Planner- $34/hr-$38/hr – Arlington, VA

Job Summary

Our client, a non-profit association in Arlington, VA, is looking for a temporary Meeting Planner to join their team ASAP!

About the Job:

• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Conferences during planning processes.
• Manage full life cycle for conferences/events/meetings from planning to execution.
• Expense oversight, vendor management, programmatic coordination, and on-site actualization.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for collecting all necessary information/materials from conference members and speakers.
• Other duties as assigned.

About You:

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• 5+ years of meeting experience in an association are required.
• Experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills with technical savviness
• Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities.
• Effective project management, planning, communication, presentation, and organization skills.

About the Position:

• $34/hr-$38/hr, depending on experience.
• Temporary through the end of .
• Potential for assignment to extend.
• Hours are 8:30am-5:30pm.
• % on-site with potential for hybrid flexibility.
