ICU RN Job Details Location : Chicago, IL 60622 (Illinois healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Travel nurse contract) Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with float to Telemetry as needed Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : September 29, 2025 End Date : December 28, 2025 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470–$1570 ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and unencumbered RN license in Illinois BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience in an acute care hospital Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred Ability to float between ICU and Telemetry units as needed ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Provide direct clinical care to critically ill patients within the scope of RN practice Educate patients and families, and supervise other nursing staff Maintain high standards of care in both ICU and Telemetry settings Communicate effectively with physicians and the healthcare team regarding patient status, hemodynamic monitoring, and diagnostic results Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and treatment needs Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Ready to take your critical care nursing skills to the next level?
