Coda Resources is a family-run company operating in the wholesale, retail, and eCommerce space, servicing major big-box customers and multiple sales channels. With significant annual volume and a growing multi-warehouse footprint, Coda is focused on modernizing operations through automation, system integration, and data-driven process improvement.
We are investing in warehouse automation, WMS optimization, and system integrations, and are looking for an engineer who can bridge technology, operations, and execution.
Role Overview
This role is a hybrid engineering, operations, and systems position that works closely with leadership to support automation initiatives, warehouse systems, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is technically strong, operationally curious, and comfortable assessing current-state operations, identifying gaps, and helping plan and execute practical solutions with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate current warehouse and system setups, proactively identify issues, gaps, and inefficiencies
- Plan practical, scalable solutions and work with operations, IT, and vendors to execute improvements
- Support the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of warehouse automation solutions
- Work closely with warehouse teams to understand real workflows across receiving, put-away, replenishment, inventory, and picking
- Assist with WMS and ERP (Business Central) configuration, testing, and process alignment
- Analyze operational data and reports to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
- Design and validate system logic (directed put-away, bin ranking, UOM handling, replenishment rules, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external system and automation partners
- Assist leadership with technical analysis, documentation, SOP development, and rollout planning
- Participate in pilots, UAT, and mock environments before production rollouts
- Help ensure data integrity across inventory, transactions, and integrations

Required Qualifications
Engineering background (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, or similar)Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to analyze data, build models, and work with large datasetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess current-state operationsAbility to translate operational issues into actionable system and process improvementsComfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and system reportsAbility to understand both technical systems and physical warehouse operationsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyWillingness to spend time on the warehouse floor as neededExperience in warehouses or distribution environmentsExposure to WMS, ERP, or automation systemsUnderstanding of inventory flows, UOMs, barcoding, and material handlingExperience working with vendors or system integratorsFamiliarity with API integrations or system-to-system data flowsExperience leading or supporting process improvement initiativesWhy This Role Is Unique
