EXTRUSION OPERATOR Demonstrate progressive capabilities for running extrusion product and working within the team environment with positive attitude. Must be dependable and accountable. Shift work and occasional overtime required Good communication skills Must show attention to detail and safety commitment Must be able to read information and numbers and write legibly Must demonstrate willingness to assist other operators when necessary Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Adhere to company safety procedures and attendance policy as well as all other documented company policies. Must be willing to learn and able to follow instructions of Trainer Team Leader and / or Manager. Must demonstrate that he / she is learning the extrusion process and shows the ability to become extruder operator. Must be able to read / comprehend shop order bill of material process specifications and product specifications. Must be able to pack filled spools on pallets or in cartons and stack on pallets according to item packing instructions. Must be able to identify and locate labels specified according to item in Bill of Material. Must be able to identify and locate spools specified according to Bill of Materials. Must be able to neatly and accurately fill out all extrusion paperwork. Must be able to set up an extruder according to the process specification. Must be able to start up and stop an extruder according to S.O.P. Must be able to clean die face according to S.O.P. Must be able to properly and efficiently separate lines in quench tank. Must be able to take lines to the waste roller doff 8 mil line and larger replace doffed spools with empty spools wrap line on spools cut end correctly and set guides. Must be able to tie line on spools correctly. Must be able to perform product testing required for startups and / or final product testing. Must demonstrate good housekeeping practices and keep immediate work area clean. REQUIRED EDUCATION : Should have high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read information and numbers make basic mathematical calculations and write legibly. Required Extrusion Experience : None
