Overview
Verathon
is looking for a data driven Senior Financial Analyst to become the newest member of our Finance / Accounting Team located in Bothell, WA.
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering data analytics and financial system administration for Verathon. This role will oversee global consolidations for management reporting and the development of analytical tools and process automation to improve data quality and enable deeper data analysis.
Responsibilities
- With the Director FP&A, manage the Verathon financial data and data analytics strategy
- With the Director FP&A, lead our AI journey for financial reporting
- Direct the research, design, development, testing, and reporting of the management reporting process utilizing knowledge of various software packages
- Oversee UAT testing and system administration for key financial reporting applications; in conjunction with business partners, develop and document business and testing requirements
- Develop and execute the standard work to properly maintain and optimize the management reporting system
- Advise on the resolution of complex analytical and data integrity issues
- Define, create, and extract queries and analyze data to yield business insights and enhance reporting processes
- Work with the FP&A team to deliver global consolidations for management reporting and global analytics and publish key management reports
- Serve as Verathon's "analytical review" function to ensure the uniformity, quality, and accuracy of data and financial reporting
- With the Director FP&A, lead the monthly and quarterly financial close rhythm
- Develop a deep understanding of the industry and Verathon's strategic objectives
- Ensure controls are established and followed to safeguard assets and maintain compliant operations
Qualifications
This role is a hybrid position and in office to Bothell, WA5+ years of progressive experience in Finance and AccountingBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplinePractical knowledge and experience in effectively leading the execution of financial systems, multi-dimensional databases, and business intelligence toolsSolid foundation in designing and managing data flows, data hierarchies, and data structuresStrong expertise utilizing advanced functions in spreadsheets (Excel), Power BI, SQL, and various data reporting and report automation platformsPractical knowledge and experience, and curiosity in effectively utilizing AI for financial reportingDemonstrated ability to build strong relationships with executive leaders and teams across an international organizationSelf-starter with ability to positively influence othersDemonstrated excellent communication and advisory skillsDemonstrated ability to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable mannerMust be able to educate non-financial managersDemonstrated track record of excellent critical thinking and analytical skillsAbility to apply good judgment to business planning and commercial mattersDemonstrated ability to be organized and consistently deliver results accurately and on-timeWhy Join Us?

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
Salary range - $87,400 - $124,944 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
