Overview
This role provides vital support to patients managing complex medical conditions and specialty medications. As the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, you'll help ensure timely access to medications and a seamless treatment experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients in navigating specialty pharmacy services and obtaining their medications.
- Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.
- Coordinate with prescribers, insurance companies, and partner pharmacies to facilitate medication approvals and deliveries.
- Enter and verify prescription data under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy management systems.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide technical and administrative support for pharmacy-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient concerns and improve service quality.
Qualifications
Required :
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – Illinois license.2+ years of experience in a pharmacy, healthcare call center, or patient support role.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Availability to work an 8-hour shift within operating hours of 8 : 00 a.m.–6 : 30 p.m.Skills & Attributes :
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.Knowledge of insurance processes and prior authorizations.Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented.Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
