Must-Have :

Candidate must be comfortable floating based on job description without restrictions or special requests.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may lead to a cancellation.

Ratios for patient care are 1 : 6-7.

36 hours only per week required.

It is essential to float to similar units; floating at least once a week is typical.

Every other weekend working is required; attendance on holidays is also necessary.

Contract staff may be called to work during catastrophic events such as storms or mass casualties.

The unit primarily serves medical / surgical patients and includes the administration of heparin and insulin drips.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response.

Daily census is approximately 41 patients.

Candidate must have skills in blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of IV insulin protocols.

All candidates must pass an EKG test for this specialty.

References from two manager / supervisor roles in the last 12 months are highly preferred.

All required documentation must be provided prior to the start date.

Candidate must be available for the full length of the contract and adhere to the fatigue policy, not working more than five consecutive days or 60 hours in a week.

Modules must be completed prior to starting the job and annually as required.
