A well-established and highly respected construction firm with over 70 years of experience is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. We specialize in a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects including Water Treatment Plants, Food Processing Facilities, Municipal Swimming Pools, and Commercial Buildings across the Midwest. Our firm is known for delivering high-quality results, fostering a team-oriented environment, and building long-term relationships with clients.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Superintendent to lead construction projects from the ground up. This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality standards and design specifications. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to manage day-to-day operations on the job site.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; track progress and adjust as needed to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site, enforcing company safety protocols and OSHA compliance
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure all work meets project specifications
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams for cost estimation, scheduling, and value engineering when required

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent managing commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Strong background in managing Water Treatment Plants, Commercial Buildings, or similar large-scale infrastructure
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
  • Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications (OSHA, PMP, etc.) are a plus
  • Experience with pre-construction services is a bonus
