Diesel Mechanic Job Overview
Were seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The right candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as a thorough knowledge of various mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role focused on performing maintenance and repairs to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Diesel Mechanic Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace components such as shocks, struts, air brakes, and other essential parts.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize welding techniques for repairs and modifications.
- Operate cranes and other equipment safely during repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Diesel Mechanic Skills
Proficient in diagnosing issues with diesel engines and related systems.Experience with air brake systems and their maintenance.Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to dig deep into mechanical issues.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.Diesel Mechanic Compensation / Benefits :
