Overview
The Verge is seeking a talented Senior Video Producer to develop and execute our editorial video programming. This is a full-time role that reports to our Supervising Producer - Audio / Video.
The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller and experienced video creator with deep knowledge of The Verge’s coverage areas, and enthusiasm for the platforms where video is consumed, from TikTok to Instagram and YouTube. They should understand how short and midform video is discovered and consumed.
They will work with a team of producers, directors, journalists, and other craftspeople to create multi-platform, multi-format content across video, audio, and social channels, and also be able to independently execute a project from pitch to script development, shooting, and editing — at the speed of breaking news when necessary.
The Senior Producer will help execute The Verge video’s larger programming strategy, elevate our voice and visual aesthetic, manage deliverables and deadlines, and juggle multiple projects in various production stages with limited resources.
