Accounting Services is seeking a talented individual to join its Compliance Team. This position is responsible for the oversight of sub-award management on sponsored projects and plays an important role in ensuring compliance with federal & state regulations and institutional policy. To be successful in this role, an individual should possess excellent organization skills, an aptitude for higher level critical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills.

Major / Essential Functions

• Contribute to the subrecipient risk assessment process by evaluating and determining subrecipient organizational, financial, and compliance risk; recommend risk level and outline special terms & conditions as needed.
• Establish and maintain subaward encumbrances in the University financial system.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulation on transparency by submitting monthly Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports.
• Facilitate subaward monitoring efforts and perform desk reviews; oversee assigned subaward compliance reviews.
• Monitor federal and state updates as they apply to subawards and recommend subaward policy updates and process efficiencies based on changing requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years.
