PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Springdale, AR 72764 (Northwest Arkansas healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown & Telemetry

Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM), every other weekend required

Weekly Hours : 36

Scrub Color : Gray

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1420 - $1530

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or compact state (Arkansas nursing jobs)

Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in stepdown, PCU, or telemetry nursing

Ability to float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed

Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient care skills

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU, stepdown, and telemetry units

Utilize the nursing process in accordance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrate leadership and sound clinical judgment in planning and providing safe patient care

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training

Delegate patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and experience

Supervise and direct assigned healthcare personnel in patient care delivery

Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as required by patient census
