Operations Manager

Title : Operations Manager - 2nd Shift

Location :   Hanceville, AL

We are an industrial manufacturer that you most likely have heard of or have worked with and just never even knew it! Our headcount has increased over 23% the past 2 years as we continue to expand our product line and gain market share in our space.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager - 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the facility during the second shift. This role aims to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in operations while leading a team to achieve production goals and continuously improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of operations during the 2nd shift including packaging, receiving, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Manage inventory control and inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and communication across the facility.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies in manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of operations, packaging, receiving, shipping, and safety standards.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory control and inventory management practices.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI management to drive performance improvements.
