Job Summary

Responsible for leading and managing the Revenue Accounting Team. Accountable for the process of invoicing clients based on the completion of projects by company engineers and staff. Invoicing occurs through the accounting database and results are compiled into various elements of the corporate financial statements. Ensures invoicing is done according to contract to ensure invoices will be paid and company cash flow is maintained. Responsible for maintaining project accounting folders used by the staff as a financial and legal reference for corporate projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing invoices and recording general ledger transactions.
  • Maintains all invoicing and project records.
  • Manages, leads, and coaches the Revenue Accountant and Revenue Teams as assigned.
  • Oversees work produced by the Revenue Accountant and team and ensures it complies with the required standards.
  • Trains and oversees employees involved in billing functions.
  • Assists with employee performances evaluations.
  • Reviews and enters contract information into the billing system.
  • Ensures the integrity of data transpiring into the billing system is accurate and complete.
  • Ensures that department milestones and goals are met adhering to company guidelines.
  • Researches and resolves reinvoicing discrepancies and reconciles client accounts.
  • Develops monitoring and tracking systems for billing including invoice rejections.
  • Assists in research and resolution of AR collection items as assigned.
  • Reconciles project records to the accounting database.
  • Manages the processing of Consultant Purchase Orders related to projects including distributions to related parties.
  • Manages communications and relationships with the payables departments of clients.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for project accounting, financial statement accounting, and project profitability.
  • Analyzes accounting records to determine the financial resources required to implement projects and makes recommendations for budget allocations to ensure conformance to budgetary limits.
  • Offers suggestions and guidance about project resource utilization, project budgets, project set-up, and invoicing.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Participates in preparation of annual audit schedules.
  • Performs a variety of tasks as assigned by the management of the accounting department and other Management personnel as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Solid experience managing a function / team.
  • Knowledge of other accounting skills- AR / AP.
  • Knowledge of Deltek accounting system or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Proactive and resourceful.
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with discretion, fact, and professionalism in all situations.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Alt : 3-5 years experience in a management role or similiar
  • Essential Requirements

  • Previous managerial / supervisory experience working in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Solid project accounting, financial statement accounting, and project profitability experience.

    This is a hybrid role. It is anticipated that the working days in the office will be done at our San Francisco, CA office. The expected salary range for candidates who will work in San Francisco, CA is $100,000 - $125,000. The final offer to our new team member will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the length, breadth, and depth of experience within the job and the industry, education, etc. ATCE is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
