As a Customer Service Representative at The Hartford, your primary role is to provide service to policyholders and claimants in response to notice of auto physical damage, workers'pensation, liability and property losses. You will work with customers in taking new losses, resolving / answering inquiries, responding to information requests, and processing minor claims.
- Start date : August 5th, 2024
- Hours : Monday through Friday, 10 : 30am-7 : 00pm EST (Training is the first 6 weeks of employment. Time off during training is not amodated).
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Be the first point of contact to our policyholders, explaining the claims process, initiating damage appraisal and organizing car rental where appropriate.Initiate claims according to claims best practices, as assigned and provide exceptional customer service.Promote digital self service capabilities.Required tomit to the training and work schedule.Utilize multipleputer applications to accurately document claim information.Have a dedicated workspace free from distractions during work and training hours.Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs, utilizing every touch point as an opportunity to build value and The Hartford brand.QUALIFICATIONS :
A demonstrated background in customer service, call center, insurance, retail, restaurant or a related fieldAbility to work in a fast-pacedplex environment while navigating multiple programs.Problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.Excellentmunication skills with ability to empathize with customers and colleagues.AdaptabilityHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required.Spanish bilingual a plus.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
This is a remote opportunity working in proximity to our Naperville, IL or Lake Mary, FL locations.
This role will have a 100% Remote Work arrangement. However, to broaden career growth, collaboration, and cross-functional interaction to network with colleagues and leadership you must reside within amutable distance to our Naperville, IL or Lake Mary, FL office. While you will have a remote work arrangement there may be a future expectation to follow our Hybrid Work Model ofing into the office as business needs arise.May have a need to work holidays based on business need.Training Requirements : As a condition of employment , you will be required to successfullyplete a multi-week classroom new hire training course and, uponpletion, obtain a passing score on the final exam. You will have a maximum of two attempts to pass with a score of 80%.
