Job Description
Education :
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree or greater in relevant field of study preferred
Work Experiences :
1+ years of loss prevention or security experience requiredLeadership experience preferredSkills :
Ability to consistently apply sound judgment and operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor and member of a teamEffective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thorough documentation and interface effectively with individuals at various levelsSufficiently observant; Ability to pay strict attention to detailAbility to understand physical security concepts and learn to operate various physical security systems effectivelyAbility to assist in training and supervising hourly team members on assigned shiftComfortable with the use of computers and handheld devicesFamiliar with the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and ExcelResponsibilities :
Maintain a working knowledge of all physical security systems in use by Loss Prevention, including but not limited to : intrusion / fire detection, video surveillance, access control, guard tour management, case management, metal detection, and electronic article surveillanceUtilize all available physical security systems to effectively monitor safety and the security of the property and to protect company assets, team members and visitorsInvestigate suspicious circumstances and respond to emergent situationsDetermine the severity of incidents or issues and resolve or escalate as appropriateConduct inspections of inbound & outbound cargoManage trailer yard traffic and stagingAssist in training of DC Loss Prevention team members on assigned shiftDistribute and supervise work of DC Loss Prevention team members on assigned shiftPromote and drive company safety initiativesDevelop thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rulesDuties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements & Attendance :
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear reach, feel, handle, and use repetitive motions (hand / writ / fingers); frequently stoop, crouch, use fingers, grasp, push, pull; occasionally required to climb, balance, and runOccasionally lift up to 40 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusAbility to work in a variety of conditions / environments (office, warehouse, outdoors) during all seasonsAcceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job dutiesAdhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behaviorOther Requirements :
This position will require successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
