What You Will Work On

  • Provide professional legal services related to leasing and management of the Company's national portfolio of properties and support the Company's business teams on a broad range of legal matters.
  • Assist with drafting leases, lease amendments, assignments, sublease consents, estoppels, lien waivers, and other ancillary lease documentation required to manage a variety of commercial properties in the Company's portfolio.
  • Assist attorneys in resolving property management issues, such as violations, lease interpretation, permitting, and alteration requests.
  • Contribute to providing in-house legal support to both the Company's asset management and property management teams.
  • Organize and respond to tenant and third-party requests, easements and REAs; assist with delivery of high-end and accurate solutions to tenants and clients.
  • Review title and survey; communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management of a wide variety of other legal matters relating to the operation and improvement of the portfolio.

What We Need From You

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited US university (associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent).
  • A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved school (or otherwise meet the requirements of AB1761).
  • 4+ years of on-point legal experience.
  • Strong computer and document preparation skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.

    This hybrid position is based in our San Diego (Del Mar area) headquarters. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office for collaboration, with the opportunity to work remotely on Monday and Friday. For candidates outside San Diego and surrounding counties, remote working options may be available.

    The hourly pay range for this role is $37.56 - $44.82 - $53.91. Offers near the high end may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and skills and are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, to be discussed during the interview process. An annual pay rate and total compensation package is generally determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
