Dysphagia Evaluation

Description :

Candidates must have experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings.

Dysphagia evaluations are a primary responsibility of this role.

Candidates should have flexibility and self-awareness.

The unit has a total of 457 beds and comprises multiple staff members including full-time and contract SLPs.

Patient ratios are 8 patients for an 8-hour shift.

The typical equipment used on the unit includes FEES and the EMR system Meditech.

There are specific productivity requirements for acute and rehab care.

Documentation and charges should be completed before the shift ends.

Weekend shifts include 2 weekend days during a 4-week period.

Candidates must meet the requirement for stroke evaluations within 24 hours from the time of consult.

Preferred candidates should have experience with FEES.
