Rate of pay : $16.73 - $25.09. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.

Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.

Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.

Keeps accurate class attendance records.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community

CPR & First Aid Certified

Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and / or completed one specialty certification

Preferred Qualifications

Multi-lingual skills

National Group Exercise Certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NETA) and / or BS in related field
