Crane Operator

Crane Operator (Fulghum) - Fordyce, AR

Georgia-Pacific's Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Fordyce Arkansas has an incredible opportunity for a Fulghum Crane Operator.

Responsibilities include :

• Safe and efficient operating of Log Yard Crane on a rail system
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and / or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day to unload log trucks safely and without damage to equipment
• Keep log supply to mill consistent with production needs
• Stack in a neat and orderly fashion to maximize storage and minimize losses
• Ensure proper rotation of logs in storage area
• Complete daily inspections and checklists
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace following strict safety rules and regulations, to include safety equipment, i.e. : safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs
• Operate equipment in a way that is safe, productive and minimizes breakdowns

Experience working with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments

Experience performing preventative maintenance schedules (PMS) in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Experience operating production or large industrial equipment
