Automation Engineer Level 1 Systems

Summary

The successful Automation Engineer will develop and execute automation solutions for the modernization and new installation of Level 1 control systems for Electric Arc Furnaces, Vacuum Tank Degassers, Continuous Casters, Hot and Cold Rolling Mills, Metallurgy and Process Line equipment.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement PLC based automation control systems that include motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuators
• Perform Level 1 (PLC) control system programming based on the function descriptions and mechanical and hydraulic layouts \
• Complete sophisticated assignments requiring development of new and / or improved engineering techniques and procedure
• Interface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts as well customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related matters
• Conduct integrated testing and simulation of entire system before delivery to the end customer
• Perform on site commissioning and training as required
