Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Lead daily operations of the shipping department during 2nd shift, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all outgoing shipments

Plan and direct staffing, training, and scheduling to meet production and shipping goals

Verify shipments against documentation and resolve any discrepancies

Maintain relationships with transportation vendors to control costs and ensure reliable deliveries

Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing more efficient shipping processes

Monitor and maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Manage team performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective action when needed

Qualifications (Needed)

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse supervision

Strong background in shipping operations, inventory management, and process improvement

Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime as needed

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in a plant environment with temperature variations
