Job description

Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician on the Progressive Care Unit to join the team. This role will be full time day shift; Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 7am - 7.30pm.

Clinical Technician 2 Job Responsibilities :

  • Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
  • Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
  • Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
  • Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
  • Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

    • Shift : Days (7am - 7.30pm)

    Schedule : Three 12 hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)

    Training : Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

    • Clinical Technician 2 Requirements :

  • Experience : 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and / or 2 years of nursing school
  • Education : High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Certification : BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Training : Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire.
  • Special Skills : Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.
