What You'll Do :

  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
  • Conduct tax projections and support compliance needs.
  • Oversee or review bookkeeping work completed by team members or clients.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliations for bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
  • Support cleanup and onboarding for new accounting clients.
  • Prepare and file or review sales tax, payroll tax, and 1099 filings.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve systems and client experience.

What You Need to Succeed :

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review, ideally within a public accounting or small firm setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and professional tax software (UltraTax preferred; experience with Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar transferable).
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and small business accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under seasonal deadlines and shifting workloads.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and commitment to quality work.
  • EA or CPA credentials are preferred, but not required, experience and skill matter most.
  • What We Offer :

  • Competitive seasonal compensation based on experience (hourly or project-based)
  • Flexible work hours and remote options available
  • Typical schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 a.m.–5 : 30 p.m. (February through mid-April)
  • 4-day work week from mid-April through January
  • Potential to transition into a permanent, year-round role for the right candidate
  • Seasonal position anticipated from January through April, with onboarding in December
