Hematology / Oncology Physician

Position Overview

A board-certified Hematologist or Oncologist is needed to provide locum tenens coverage at a community-based ambulatory Hem / Onc clinic in Reidsville, North Carolina. This role focuses primarily on benign hematology and general Hem / Onc cases. The provider will see new patients and follow-ups, write orders, manage prescriptions, and coordinate with pharmacy and nursing staff.

Assignment Highlights

Schedule :

Clinic : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Shifts : Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday

Call : Infrequent call and some weekend call required

Setting : Ambulatory hematology / oncology clinic with inpatient support

Volume : Minimum of 15 patients / day

Support Staff : Nurses, Navigator, Admin Support, Pharmacy, 1-2 physicians, APPs, Infusion Specialist

Hospital Size : TBD (inpatient facility available)

EMR : Epic (assessment required prior to start)

Orientation : 16 hours, billable

Travel : Flight, rental car, and lodging provided

Skills & Experience

Board Certification in Hematology and / or Oncology (double-boarded preferred)

If seeing oncology patients, Oncology BC required

Active NC license - required (not open to licensing)

DEA - required

BLS - required

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Hem / Onc practice

Experience with benign hematology and general bread-and-butter Hem / Onc cases
