Safety Coordinator - Mechanical Construction

Position Overview

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards in mechanical construction projects. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting training, and promoting a culture of safety among workers to minimize risks and injuries on site.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for mechanical construction projects.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide training and education to staff on safety practices and procedures.
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and promote safe work practices.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, and inspections.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred

Minimum of 1 years of experience in safety coordination within the construction industry.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards relevant to mechanical construction.

Certification in safety management or related field (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, Certified Safety Professional) is preferred. CHST, OSHA Safety & Health Fundamentals Certificate Program, EMT, preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
