Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Opportunity : RN - OR

Job Details :

  • Provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during scheduled shifts
  • Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
  • Utilize nursing process including assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care
  • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols
  • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episodes
  • Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
  • Complete patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing
  • Must be able to scrub in operating room environment
  • Work in fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and team collaboration
  • Minimum 2 years current large OR experience required
  • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
  • Epic experience preferred but training provided on-site
  • Orthopedic, EENT, and vascular experience preferred
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
  • New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required
  • BLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
  • PALS and ACLS certifications preferred

    This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with multiple operating rooms supporting various surgical specialties. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology including Epic electronic health record systems. The organization provides a collaborative environment where nursing staff work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality surgical care across multiple departments and locations.
