Veteran Care Attendant

The Veteran Care Attendant assists Veterans authorized to receive services through the Veteran Directed Care program. VDC serves Veterans of all ages and with all types of disabilities who are enrolled in the VA health care system and are in need of nursing home care but can remain at home with care from a VCA. The VDC program provides Veterans an opportunity to receive home and community-based services, supporting them to live independently in their homes. This is a consumer directed program. Job responsibilities will be determined by the need of the Veteran. This program enables the Veteran to recruit, hire, train, schedule and dismiss the Veteran Care Attendant.
