Central Logistics Operations Manager
Clean Harbors is hiring for a Central Logistics Operations Manager responsible for the oversight and management of the paraprofessionals responsible for over the road asset management across the organization. Optimization of asset utilization, ensuring efficient inventory management and enhancing the overall supply chain performance. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices in over-the-road asset management and logistics processes. Will be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives. May directly oversee the management of specific vehicle asset type.

Responsibilities
Management of department staff that includes assignment of daily tasks, problem resolution and overall support to field operations for all logistical needs. Will incorporate proper staffing of department by understanding business volumes, internal routing and asset allocationManagement and coordination of vehicle assets through WinWeb Logistics Dispatch & Hub Management Systems. Constant communication with field and office personnel, including : local transportation coordinators, facilities and national transportation coordinators. Approval of subcontracted transportation and administration / approval of purchase orders. Manage and approve all new 3rd party carriers, 3rd party transportation POs and Aging invoices. Some positions may create Rail Transportation Pricing for tankers, Rolloff and dump vehiclesDirectly responsible for driving increased utilization for vehicle asset types by ensuring that field and central coordinators maintain daily focus of internalizing all transportation needs; Compiles vehicle utilization reports from Logistics. Ensure field has all transportation needs covered.Manage all transportation needs for Project Operations, Tech Services and Centralized Customs Logistics for both internal and external carriers for large campaigns / projectsResponsible for accurate transportation schedules and timely movement of waste pickups to ensure 100% customer satisfactionResponsible for ensuring daily compliance and continuous improvement within all logistics systemsQualifications
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Supply Management, or related5 years experience or alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degreeAbility to generate reports through computer systemsManage multiple employeesStrong organization and communication skillsAbility to work in fast paced environmentExperience in transportation and in hazardous materialsClean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout North America.
