Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.
Columbia Community Mental Health’s Cornerstone Residential Treatment Facility in St. Helens, Oregon is a 24 / 7, 16-bed psychiatric residential treatment program that supports adults, young adults, and seniors (65+) facing severe and persistent mental illness. Housed at 271 Columbia Blvd, it offers a safe and structured environment where residents receive :
Position : Community Support Specialist
Department : Residential (Cornerstone)
Shift : On-call
Salary Range : $22.19 - $29.58 (hourly). We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements : High school diploma / equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with individuals with mental health needs. Combination of education / experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.
Summary : Provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and / or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities. Community Support Specialists teach activities of daily living : housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance. Must have the knowledge / abilities to model appropriate interpersonal / vocational skills / behaviors. Able to deal effectively with high stress situations, handle unusual human behavior, resolve conflict. Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
Working conditions : This position works in an office environment / residential home. This position is not remote.
