Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 16 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 23 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Mixed Acuity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med / Surg Telemetry (Oncology / Neuro focus) Shifts : 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (Day : 07 : 00–19 : 30, Night : 19 : 00–07 : 30); schedule based on facility needs Hours per Week : 36 Orientation : 72 hours (First week Mon–Fri dayshift, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940 - $1990 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele RN experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Experience with EPIC charting system required Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care Previous travel nursing experience preferred Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required Must provide two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leader) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required after contract signing Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with oncology, neuro-oncology, and head & neck cancer diagnoses Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage IVs, and perform tracheostomy care (including suctioning and inner cannula changes) Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy (if certified) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Float to other Med / Surg Oncology units as needed Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and prioritize patient safety, including fall prevention strategies Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system Participate in self-scheduling and demonstrate flexibility to meet facility needs, including weekends and rotating shifts Apply now for this rewarding Travel Med / Surg Tele RN job in Columbus, Ohio, and join a leading healthcare team dedicated to excellence in patient care!
