LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in Texas!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 39-day locum tenens assignment in Texas. This opportunity starts on Nov 7, 2025, and offers exclusive weekend coverage with flexible AM, PM, and 15-hour shifts. The assignment requires a provider comfortable working independently as the sole clinician in a busy urgent care environment, with a high likelihood of extension.

  • Schedule : Weekend only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday); AM shift 8am-4pm, PM shift 3pm-11pm, or 15-hour shift 8am-11pm; flexibility to work either shift required

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the sole provider in an urgent care setting
  • Evaluate and manage a variety of urgent care cases
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Deliver high-quality, efficient care across a diverse patient population
  • Work independently and make clinical decisions without onsite physician support

    • Additional Information

  • Must have at least 2 years of recent urgent care experience
  • Active Texas license required
  • Flexibility to cover both AM and PM shifts as needed
  • Three-month contract with strong potential for extension
