About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide both medical and administrative leadership for its health center. The CMO will be responsible for the development and implementation of medical protocols, procedures, and policies, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This role involves overseeing all patient care activities, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and serving as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee. The CMO will also serve as the Lab Director, supervising laboratory testing to comply with regulations, and may be required to attend Health Board meetings to provide reports. Additionally, the CMO will be involved in the credentialing and privileging process, setting productivity goals, and serving as a liaison with the local medical community.
Applicants for the CMO position at the company must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine, with a valid medical license and board certification in family practice and / or internal medicine. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role is preferred. The CMO must have a current DEA registration, meet credentialing standards, and adhere to all medical and safety regulations. The role requires the ability to provide direct patient care, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with quality and performance indicators. The CMO will also be expected to participate in ongoing medical education and training, and to be available for local and out-of-the-area travel as necessary.
