The Role

Our client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize the movement of DNA samples from customers to our labs across the Eastern Coast of the United States. In this role, you will be based out of our Louisville, Kentucky lab, and you will take ownership of regional logistics strategy—scaling and optimizing our dropbox network, proactively resolving high-priority shipping challenges, and leading relationships with some of our most important partner couriers. You will have a key role in negotiating rates, refining operational processes, and driving efficiency across the supply chain. This is an opportunity for an experienced last mile logistics professional to have a direct and measurable impact on the speed, reliability, and scalability of operations that power next-generation DNA sequencing.

3+ years of experience in a logistics role with a focus on problem- solving and process improvement 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations coordination (a plus if in a biotech, life sciences, or technology environment) Experience improving logistics systems / processes for efficiency. Experience in consumer- to- business shipping with overnight delivery timeframes. Bachelor's degree supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (not totally necessary) Experience with logistics software or inventory management systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, or similar) Familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance (IATA certified is a plus) Knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies or related fields in life sciences or biotechnology Specific understanding of how to deal with cold chain logistics, biohazard materials, etc. Demonstrated interest in logistics and working on large scale problems Someone who is a natural problem solver and can work independently to take charge of new projects Wants to be in a fact paced in paced environment where they will learn and have a ton of impact. Ability to work a 4 AM or 5 AM shift in Louisville, KY
