Tax Accounting Specialist

What you will do :
Work closely with multiple small and mid-sized business clients with a variety of bookkeeping services, including but not limited to :Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
Enter adjusting journal entriesClean-up of client accounts for preparation of the tax returnProvide reports to the client and the tax preparation teamCollaborate with clients and respond to client requests and inquiriesOnboarding and setting up bookkeeping accounts in QuickBooks OnlineAssisting the tax team with year-end reporting of 1099sHandling special projects as neededDemonstrate the desire to continually grow, learn and develop skills and knowledge through external and internal education, training and cross-training opportunities to maximize personal contribution to the organizational goals and ongoing career developmentUtilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clientsSupport the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goalsEnjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balanceSuccessful candidates will have :
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.0 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)Ability to work independently and as part of a team.An understanding of professional services and client service.Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable and professional demeanorHigh attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curious.Adhere to the highest level of confidentiality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Enjoys interacting with clients and providing exceptional service.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
