We are seeking a Quality Control / Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished machined products, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency while working within the guidelines of a written quality management system (QMS) in order to complete a variety of DoD, aerospace, and commercial contracts. This role is an essential part of our production line, who's end result will help to maintain our nation's defensive capabilities.

- Responsibilities :
- Perform thorough examinations of all materials and close tolerance, precision machined parts using coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision machines, and a variety of precision measurement hand tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage blocks, surface finish and hardness testers, etc.).
- Oversee tool calibration requirements by generating purchase orders for calibration services provided by approved vendors, gathering equipment and preparing lots for shipping to or pick-up by calibration service vendors, and scheduling calibrations for onsite services where needed.
- Work with project managers and craft foremen to design and develop inspection procedures and documentation to meet the quality reporting requirements of customer contracts.
- Execute inspection procedures and document findings to be compiled into Production Test & Inspection reports (PT&I) for inclusion with manufactured components at time of delivery.
- Perform internal audits of company quality management system (QMS) for compliance, make suggestions for QMS system updates for presentation to management as needed, and maintain an intranet QMS manual.
- Experience in the application of a QMS to assure compliance with the requirements of DoD, aerospace, and commercial manufacturing contracts that incorporate similar quality requirements.
- Maintain files (PC and hard copies) in compliance with company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
