Reports To : Party Chief / Survey Crew Lead

Department : Survey Division

Position Summary

The Survey Helper supports survey crews in the field by assisting with setup, operation, and breakdown of surveying equipment, handling tools and materials, and performing basic measurements under direction. This role is critical to keeping survey operations safe, efficient, and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Handling

Transport, set up, and take down survey instruments (tripods, total stations, GPS units, levels, rods, prisms).

Hold and operate level rods, prisms, or measuring tapes as directed.

Record basic measurements or notes under crew leaders instruction.

Follow all company and site-specific safety policies.

Help load / unload vehicles and transport materials to survey locations.
