JOB SUMMARY :

The Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Large Excavator Operator that will support the Utilities Infrastructure team with operating equipment such as : backhoes, loaders, skid steers, excavators, etc. across multiple construction sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate various types of heavy equipment such as : backhoes, loaders, skid steers, excavators, etc. across construction sites.
• Excavate around energized and live utilities with a spotter.
• Dig pits, trenches, and holes to prepare sites for construction.
• Operate equipment to move and carry materials and supplies and clear work site.
• Assist ground and field crews with installation of materials as needed.
• Identify potential hazards or obstructions with existing utilities, both overhead and underground.
• Use both non-verbal and verbal signals while operating equipment to communicate with your supervisor and other crew members as needed.
• Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
• Perform daily inspections on equipment for issues, complete inspection paperwork, and notify leads on any issues.
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines set by HJD Capital Electric.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :

knowledge of required PPE.
