Hartford Hospital

Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England. The Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center which provides cutting edge treatment to its patients. This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), one of the most-advanced medical simulation training centers in the world. Advanced Practitioner Role Scope

Nurse Practitioners (APRN) / Physician Assistants provide direct lactation support and education to patients and staff to ensure that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered. Advanced Practitioners are responsible for providing comprehensive, advanced, and specialized health services across the continuum of the patient’s lactation experience. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with the Labor and Delivery, Maternity, and Women's health and ambulatory health services. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to patient and staff education, consultation and partnerships with health care resources and others within our organization, network and community.
