Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Marion, Illinois (62959) Healthcare Setting : 36-bed Medical-Surgical / Orthopedic unit Contract Length : 20 weeks Start Date : September 15, 2025 Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed except during holidays / unit closures) Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled Float : May float to Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for medical holds only Orientation : One-time 12-hour session Scrub Color : Navy Blue Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,910 - $2,040 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending or temporary licenses) Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience EPIC electronic charting experience required Confident, independent, and adaptable nurse Hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change well Collaborative team player with strong communication skills COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change) Must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 36-bed Medical-Surgical / Orthopedic unit Maintain a patient ratio of 6 : 1 Float to ED / ICU to care for medical holds as needed Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Adapt to changing unit needs and maintain a positive attitude Apply now to join our healthcare team and explore exciting travel nursing jobs in Marion, Illinois!
